 Recess: Book Fair open Recess and Lunch in the Library. Any purchase of $5 or more dollars will be put in for a draw for a free poster.

          We will be having a St. Patty’s Bingo at lunch on Wednesday. Sign up by recess on Wednesday in the lobby.

3:30-4:45 – Murals and tomorrow. New people and designs welcome. See Mrs. Matthews today at recess to claim your spot for the new murals. (If you already did one you can rejoin as well. We need committed workers.)

U14 Boys and Girls Spring Volleyball practice tonight at Callaghan. All are welcome 5 -6:30pm and Wednesday.

Between February 18th (National Battery Day) and April 22nd (Earth Day), the Hernewood community will be participating in a battery recycling contest called Call 2 Recycle. The program is designed to raise awareness among young people about the importance of safe and responsible battery recycling and to help them to adopt eco-responsible habits in their daily lives. All you have to do is send in old batteries of any kind and the students can win a prize for the school. The top prize is $1000.00 and a pizza party. Please help us to help our students to become more Earth friendly.**The Call2Recycle program accepts all batteries weighing 5 kg (11 lbs) and less.

Congratulations to the Hernewood Girls #1 Team for Winning provincials by Defeating Athena 78-48. Everyone played extremely well.
