Between February 18th (National Battery Day) and April 22nd (Earth Day), the Hernewood community will be participating in a battery recycling contest called Call 2 Recycle. The program is designed to raise awareness among young people about the importance of safe and responsible battery recycling and to help them to adopt eco-responsible habits in their daily lives. All you have to do is send in old batteries of any kind and the students can win a prize for the school. The top prize is $1000.00 and a pizza party. Please help us to help our students to become more Earth friendly.

 

**The Call2Recycle program accepts all batteries weighing 5 kg (11 lbs) and less.
