Western Region Sport and Recreation Council to seek out some volunteers for the Walk so Kids Can Talk walk/run at the Rodd Mill River Resort on May 3.
She needs volunteers for all sorts of things from water stations throughout the run to cheering at the finish line and registrations.
Charlottetown has challenged her and said West Prince could not get a goal of 250 people to the walk/run, so let’s show them what our small communities are made of!

Community Access and Inclusion Expo 2015

The 2015 Community Access & Inclusion Expo is set to go on Tuesday, May 5th, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Three Oaks Senior High School in Summerside.

Each year, inclusive agencies and service providers from across PEI gather at the Expo to provide information about the opportunities they offer to students and their families.
This year, over 60 participants will be on hand to provide information on topics such as

  • assistive technology
  • inclusive recreation options
  • life skills
  • day programs
  • pathways to employment
  • post-secondary education and training opportunities
  • advocacy
  • respite care
  • housing support
  • funding options
  • transportation
  • other inclusive programs and services available in communities throughout PEI
