Snowshoeing at Trout River Natural Area
The 8km (round trip) trail will be open from TBD for snowshoeing, walking or skiing! The David Biggar Memorial Interpretive Centre will be open Wednesday through Sunday 10am-6pm with snowshoes to use free of charge. The trail is open for use at your own risk anytime. You won’t regret taking the time to enjoy this trail at 36927 Hwy #2, Carleton. Call 859-1552 for additional information.
Want to try something new or enhance your archery skills? Join us for weekly drop-in sessions on Monday evenings at 7:30pm at Hernewood Junior High School starting January 12 for 8-weeks. Cost is $2/person, $5/family. Must be 12 years or older, all abilities and skill levels welcome. Contact Alison at email@example.com or 807-9294 for more information.
This is a great opportunity for children age 8-14 to try the sport of Biathlon. This 8-week program will be offered on Fridays from 3:30-6:00pm starting January 16. Cost is $90 which includes ski rentals and healthy snacks each week and each participant will receive a hoodie. Bus transportation to the program is available for students from Bloomfield and O’Leary Elementary. You must pre-register by contacting Alison at firstname.lastname@example.org or 807-9294.
The 8-week after school cross country ski program allows children in grade K-9 to try the sport in a fun, non-competitive environment at the Mill River Ski Park. Cost is $30/child, $50/family which includes ski rental and trail free. Space is limited so you must pre-register by contacting Alison at email@example.com or 807-9294.
Thursdays from 3:30-5pm starting January 22 for Hernewood, Ellerslie, Bloomfield and O’Leary Elementary students. (bus transportation is available for Bloomfield and O’Leary students)
