Wednesday, October 16 Day 3

  • All Hernewood students are encouraged to help sell tickets for our Hernewood Intermediate Fund Raiser.  Proceeds from the sales assist with extra-curricular activities, Winter Carnival activities, school dances, etc.  Tickets are $5 each and the draw will be held on October 23rd, 2013.  1st prize:  $500 2nd prize: $200 and 3rd prize: $100.
  • There will be no school for students tomorrow and Friday due to PEITF Annual Convention.
  • Pictures orders are due today to the office.
  • Girls’ soccer playoff game on Monday at 3:30 pm at Callaghan.
  • The boys’ soccer team will play their first play-off match against Callaghan today. The game is at Hernewood and kick-off is at 3:00 pm.
  • The Provincial Cross Country meet will be held on Saturday, October 19th at Mill River.
  • There will be no band today after school.
  • Congrats to the Girls’ volleyball team who battled SIS 1 last night but lost 3-2 in a very close game.  Top server was Alyssa Jo Bernard and player of the game was Paiton Gallant.  There will be practice today until 4:30 pm.  If anyone needs a drive to Westisle let Mrs. Gorrill know by recess.
  • The boys’ volleyball team was defeated by SIS last night.  Best hit taken by Skyler Phillips.  There will be practice today until 4:30 pm.  Please note the time change.
  • The results from the Student Council election yesterday are as follows:  Vice-President is Charlotte Moase and our newly elected President for this year is Raelene MacLean.  Congratulations and great job by all candidates yesterday.
